1. Agreement

These terms form an agreement between you and The Clever App Company Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”) when you download, access or use Command Runner. If you purchase through Paddle, Paddle is the authorised reseller and your purchase is also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms. App Store purchases are also subject to Apple’s applicable media services terms.

You must be legally capable of entering this agreement. If you use Command Runner for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.

2. The service

Command Runner connects supported devices so you can view host status, access configured sensors, run commands and automate workflows. Free features support one saved host over the local network with manual sensor refresh. Pro adds the features described on our pricing page, including unlimited hosts, cloud features, schedules, favourites, auto-refresh and backup/restore.

Supported platforms and current download routes are listed on the download page. Requirements may change as operating systems and the product evolve.

3. Licence and ownership

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Command Runner for your personal or internal business purposes. Command Runner and its associated intellectual property remain owned by us or our licensors.

You must not copy or redistribute the software except as permitted by law; reverse engineer it except where that restriction is prohibited; bypass security, access or subscription controls; rent, resell or sublicense it; or use it to infringe rights or break the law.

4. Your responsibilities

Command Runner can execute commands with the permissions of the signed-in operating-system user. You are responsible for the commands, scripts, schedules and parameters you configure; reviewing actions before running them; maintaining backups; protecting API keys, account credentials and connected devices; and ensuring you have authority to control each host.

Do not use the service to harm systems or people, gain unauthorised access, distribute malicious code, interfere with the service, or process unlawful content. You are responsible for results produced by commands you choose to run.

5. Accounts and security

An account is optional for local Free use but may be required to use Pro across platforms and access cloud features. Information you provide must be accurate and current. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect you, other users or the service, investigate misuse, or comply with law.

6. Pro subscriptions, prices and renewal

Command Runner Pro is proposed at £2.99 billed monthly or £24.99 billed annually, following a 7-day free trial where offered. The checkout shows the applicable price, currency and taxes before purchase; that checkout amount controls if it differs because of localisation, tax or an approved price change.

Pro is a recurring subscription. At the end of the trial, your selected payment method is charged unless you cancel before the trial ends. After that, the subscription renews automatically for successive periods equal to the plan you selected—one month for Monthly or one year for Annual—until cancelled. We or the payment provider will notify you of price changes as required by law.

Paddle purchases are processed by Paddle as authorised reseller. App Store purchases are billed by Apple. Do not purchase a second subscription through another channel unless you intend to maintain both.

7. How to cancel

You may cancel at any time. For a Paddle purchase, open the “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle confirmation or renewal email and cancel in the buyer portal. You may also visit paddle.net for buyer support. For an App Store purchase, open Apple Account subscription settings and cancel Command Runner Pro there.

Cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You retain Pro access until then. To avoid a charge, complete cancellation before the next renewal date (or before a free trial ends). Cancelling does not itself create a refund for time already paid; refund rights are described in our Refund Policy.

8. Updates, availability and termination

We may release updates, change or discontinue features, or adjust technical requirements. Cloud and account services may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, security incidents or causes beyond our reasonable control. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You may stop using Command Runner at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, unlawful activity, security risk or non-payment, subject to applicable law. Sections intended to survive termination, including ownership, responsibility and liability provisions, will continue to apply.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Notice explains how we process personal information. Using cloud features transmits information required to provide those features. You are responsible for ensuring your use of Command Runner to process information on controlled hosts complies with applicable privacy and employment laws.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Command Runner is provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or damage caused by commands, scripts or automations you configure or authorise.

Our total liability arising from paid Command Runner services will not exceed the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where liability cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms to reflect product, legal or commercial changes. We will post the revised terms and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept it, unless applicable law requires another form of consent.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer law may give you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
